Eromanga Natural History Museum

The Eromanga Natural History Museum (ENHM) nestled in the Australian Outback is home to Australia’s largest dinosaur, a 95-98 million-year-old titanosaur called ‘Cooper’. He is one of many significant fossil discoveries in the heart of the South West Queensland Channel Country.

Not only does the museum have dinosaurs but some of the world’s largest megafauna and a variety of micro fauna which were discovered nearby in Eulo and are thought to be 50,000 to 100,000 years old.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

Imagination Children’s Festival

The iconic ImagiNation Children’s Festival event is back on Saturday 6 April, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct.

This one-day event will be a day of fun activities, jammed packed full of fun, vibrancy, imagination, and adventure. This FREE event will be perfect to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays.

We know honey bees provide us with the deliciously sticky honey we love to eat but what else do you know about our buzzy little friends?!

Visit Indro Hive these school holidays to put your antennae on and buzz through an interacting, life-sized board game, learning about the importance of the humble bee. Or come and have some fun customising your own bee-utiful terracotta pot, complete with a pack of sunflower seeds to take home and plant as a food source for honey bees in your neighbourhood.

Bundaberg Botanic Gardens and Playground

Lord Mayor’s Children’s Program – Curbside Carnies

Step into a world of wonder and excitement these holidays as Brisbane City Council presents the Lord Mayor’s Children’s Program, Curbside Carnies.

This free performance is produced by Sophie deLightful and will keep audience members entertained as they visit the curious world of circus and fun. Guests will be greeted with colour and sparkle at this not-to-be missed performance as roving performers guide audience members to their seats.

Children can explore the magic of the “Dreaming Mountain”, Jellurgal (Burleigh Headland), with an art workshop and engaging guided walk.

This Gold Coast school holiday workshop delivers an immersive and engaging insight into First Nations culture.

Aimed at primary school aged children from 5 – 12 years of age, the experience begins with an Aboriginal art workshop. Children will learn about the methods of Aboriginal painting and the symbols and their meanings and create their own masterpiece to take home.
